FAQ

Cushing Island from Casco Bay

Weather

Kismet is an open air vessel. This means that there is almost no coverage from rain and very little shade on a hot summer day. We typically cruise rain or shine, only canceling for thunder, lightning, heavy fog, or strong winds. All cancellations due to weather are made at the Captain’s discretion.

What should I bring?

Kismet can hold up to 12 passengers total. Temperatures on the water are often 10-15º cooler than on land, so it is a good idea to bring a sweater or jacket, along with a hat and sunscreen.

There is a cooler on board stocked with Maine’s best craft beer, wine, and canned cocktails for purchase along with complimentary bottled water. You are welcome to bring snacks and soft drinks to enjoy during the cruise. Glass bottles are not allowed on the boat. Snacks like cheese, crackers, and fruit are a great addition to enjoying the views.

On the Rocks Cocktail Cruises complies with all USCG and federal law while on the water. NO FEDERALLY ILLEGAL SUBSTANCES ARE PERMITTED. The Captain reserves the right to end trip with no refund if someone becomes too intoxicated or if illegal substances are found.

Passengers

Kids are welcome aboard Kismet! We have USCG approved lifejackets for children if you would like your child to wear one, but it is not required. As this is a cocktail cruise, we primarily have adults on board.

Dogs are welcome on private charters. Please mention it when booking if you plan to bring your furry friend.

Cancellation

We understand that plans change and cancellations are necessary. Cancellations seven days in advance will be refunded at no cost, minus any applicable service fees. If a trip is canceled due to weather, the trip will be rescheduled at your convenience or refunded.

We reserve the right to cancel your charter at the Captain’s discretion (weather, unforeseen events, etc.).
